The Idle Persuaders Story

 

In 2015 Matthew and Cole met in Los Angeles and The Idle Persuaders were born.

Both from Pennsylvania, their musical styles meshed to create their "Pennsyl-tucky-fornia" hillbilly country sound.  Loss, love, heartbreak and redemption fuel their album, Bel Esprit and reflect the people and places that form their lives, souls and musical ambitions. 

The Album was written and recorded by Matthew and Cole, using just a computer, a few guitars, a couple of mics and a love of songwriting and music production in Matthew’s one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles. It was a project that ran from the week that they met until the time they finished recording the last song in 2016.

Since creating the album back in 2016 Matthew and Cole have both moved from Los Angeles and reside in different parts of the country, Matthew in Pennsylvania and Cole in South Carolina.  They still remain the very best of friends.
